Digital
citizen – How and Why
Σχετικά με το έργο
#eTwCitizen16 Through this project pupils will get familiar with
digital citizenship. In a simple way, appropriate to the age of pupils, they
will learn about the nine basic components that make us digital citizens:
digital access, digital commerce, digital communication, digital literacy,
digital etiquette, digital law, digital rights and responsibilities, digital
health and wellness, digital security. In cooperation with European partners,
by learning through fun activities, pupils will understand desirable behavior
that a digital citizen should have. We would like to encourage the good use of
the internet from an early age. Teachers will collaborate and share ideas and
each partner school will report regularly on their progress via TwinSpace.
ΣΤΌΧΟΙ
The main aim of the
project is to understand desirable behavior that a digital citizen should have.
We want to prepare our pupils for the life and society full of technology and
teach them how they should act to be good digital citizens. Furthermore, the
aims of the project are to develop key competences of our pupils, especially
social and civic competences, digital competence and communication in foreign
languages. Pupils will develop social and civic competences by participating in
activities at our schools and local communities on the occasion of Safer
Internet Day. By actively participating in TwinSpace pupils will develop
digital competence and communication in foreign languages.
ΔΙΑΔΙΚΑΣΊΑ ΤΗΣ
ΕΡΓΑΣΊΑΣ
This project will last
five months, from December 2016 to April 2017, with activities for each month.
After partners’ introduction, we will work on our first task which includes
introducing our pupils with the term digital world and making a comparison of
the non-digital and digital age. This task should be completed by the end of
December. During January we will create and share posters about the nine basic
components that make us digital citizens, this is our second task. The third
task, during February, is to actively participate in Safer Internet Day by
organizing activities at our school and local community. During March we will
work on the fourth task, we want to track time that our pupils spent online,
analyze the results and compare them with the time spent for offline
activities. During April we will work on the fifth task, an online survey about
digital habits of our pupils. We will make the final presentation of the
project and the online ex-post evaluation of the project.
